WKA National Champion

Our team drove down to the WKA National Championships again this year, this time in Maryland. Unfortunately we discovered that both Bria and Victor had no opponents and so both were sidelined. Jason was sick and so under performed but took no damage. Katrina did fantastic up a weight class in a losing battle against a much taller opponent. Unfortunately for Aiden he did get cut by a downward elbow!

Quinn and Ben, though, did work. Quinn went to war in his first battle, but took a sprained ankle. After a quick walkover win he proceeded to the semi finals against a guy who out weighed him by 20lbs. While it wasn't the win we wanted it was still a solid performance all around for him. Ben on the other hand dominated the entire division and took home the national championship in the open class. He made it look easy, took zero damage, barely broke a sweat and even overcame a headgear malfunction that left him blind. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone duck a spinning back fist by just looking at someone's feet before but it happened! Congratulations to him on his win, and everyone else for their strong performances!
